In West Philadelphia born and raised… Close, west of Philadelphia, Marcus grew up in the hood… Let’s be politically correct, he grew up in Chester County Pennsylvania, in areas that were the youth and the system tried to perpetuate the cycle of a low standard of living. Coming from a crazy family dynamic filled with hate, abuse, and lack of connection on one side, and practice, addiction, and spiritual awakening on the other side, he was able to pick and choose from different teachings and ways of living.

Growing up in a household where he was the odd one out, in an area that lacked community, Marcus found himself spending a lot of time in his own head trying to figure out the deeper meaning for his life and the lives of those around him. After moving to Boulder, Colorado in 2012, he was able to break free from the cycle and mentality he grew up with, and began to look for a way to spread the knowledge he’s gained to his peers and community back home and others like it.

At Watson, Marcus plans to indulge in a different way of living with a community-centric atmosphere, and to gain the tools and skills needed to run an effective business while maintaining the integrity of his brand. Marcus is inspired by art, nature, and cultural differences. He believes in creating self through experience and reflection, which are key to living a life filled with purpose, rather than living a life full of regret.
