Maranda is passionate about helping to improve the lives and health of everyone she comes across. She is a firm believer that good nutrition early in life sets the course for lifelong health and well-being, and that infant nutrition plays a vital role in this! While getting her degree in nutrition and becoming a certified lactation counselor, she learned that breast milk not only helps protect babies from things such as sudden infant death syndrome, but it also has long lasting protective effects against many childhood issues such as weight problems, diabetes, cancer, and developmental concerns.

Maranda also discovered that there are very few resources to help a woman who is unable to breastfeed get access to safe and affordable breast milk. Maranda is determined to change that.  At Watson, she is going to implement a revolutionary program that will make breast milk accessible, safe, and affordable to families who need it.
