While growing up in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, PA, Rashaun Williams started DJing and community organizing as a teenager in high school. As he increased his commitment to his community, Rashaun co-founded Phresh Philly, a diverse cohort of teens & millennials working to advance the environment, foster social enterprise, and develop communities.

Working with hundreds of youth his own age before graduating high school became a passion that would eventually became his profession. During his second year at Temple University, Rashaun grew impatient the entire college process and left, taking his work as an environmentalist and youth organizer to the next level. That year at 19 years old, Rashaun became a community organizer for two organizations, a youth director for a nonprofit, a journalist with a media corporation, an after school program director, and an award winning social entrepreneur and environmentalist. | Through his evolution as a community servant in synch with his growth as a DJ, Rashaun has worked for dozens of national and local organizations to empower the next generation to help solve some of the world’s toughest problems. His unique combination of arts and civics allow for him to provide both entertainment and education from behind and beyond the turntables.
