Emmanuel founded Counterfighters after seeing his mother being a victim of counterfeited medicine, which led to the loss of his mother’s job and other sickness rising from it. Emmanuel wanted to save not only his mom but 100 of people out there that are victim of this fake drugs due to counterfeited medicine, COUNTERFIGHTERS is a healthcare start-up that will provide an interactive USSD (sms) based validation platform that aims at ensuring that patients purchase drugs from reliable sources, confirm with distributors that their products were purchased from reliable manufacturers as well as educate patients and the general public of the risks of counterfeit drugs with the aim of eradicating counterfeit medicine in his community.

Rusaka is a Graduate of a Bachelor of Business and Information Technology, from the Africa Nazarene University, passionate about healthcare data and healthcare informatics, a former student leader of ANU and an Alumnus of Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI), Rusaka is currently serving as the Networking & Events Committee Chair of the YALI DRC chapter. He is passionate about transforming his community into a free community where everyone can access authentic medication and live a life with no oppression other from that Rusaka has sound Knowledge and experience in software installation, customer care services and support desk, installation of computer networks and maintenance, IT training, among many. Integrity and dignity is what characterizes him.
