Madelle Mbong Kangha

Cameroon

After placing first on the national exams of Cameroon, Madelle received prestigious scholarships to African Leadership Academy and London School of Economics. She is the founder of Youths4Change (Y4C), a successful organization that empowers and mentors youth of all abilities in Cameroon.

"Protect your courage"

Protect your courage

Cameroonian by birth and African by destiny, Madelle’s vision is to be a leading social entrepreneur, a mass recruiter of local change makers; a role model proving that citizens who channel their passion into action can do almost anything. Ultimately, Madelle hopes to create a world beyond poverty through social enterprises, emerging leaders, and breakthrough ideas.

Madelle acquired this entrepreneurial drive and passion to foster change after a gap year at the African Leadership in Johannesburg South Africa. Madelle was chosen as one of the 96 youths from around the globe that formed the inaugural class at the Academy after emerging as the top female performer at the Cameroonian GCE Ordinary Level Examinations. She describes her experience at the Academy as life changing and enriching in so many ways.

Currently the Founder and Director of Youths4Change (Y4C), Madelle holds a BA in Law and Anthropology from the London School of Economics. With an aspiration to empower African youths to rise to the challenges of a transformed and transformative era; Madelle launched her community organization (Y4C) upon graduating from university.

And after setting out on this “Road Less Travelled”, Madelle challenges, inspires and motivates herself with three questions:

If not Now, When?
If not Here, Where?
And If not I, Who?
