Justina Shandler

USA

Justina is working to combine her love of music and children in order to bring comfort to youth in challenging or difficult situations. She will be training high schoolers to act as mentors to elementary school kids, using music as a means to teach effective communication and enable catharsis. Justina believes in the power of art, as well as strong mentorship, and thinks the "kids as teachers" model will be effective in creating lasting meaningful relationships for troubled youth.

"The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference." - Eli Wiesel
