Passionate about entrepreneurship and designing innovative solutions to address current challenges facing humanity, Elan Fields is 19 years old, from Northampton, MA. He spent this past year traveling and immersing himself in divergent communities and cultures. Returning to the U.S. to work as a fellow with the Hillary for New Hampshire Campaign, he worked around the clock to bring about change one vote at a time. At fifteen the trajectory of his life took a radical turn when diagnosed with a severe autoimmune disease. Taking control of his own learning experience at age 14, he established a buy-sell-trade business that began with fixing lawnmowers and developed into trading cars. Three years later, after undergoing major surgery, his drive continues to be fueled by his desire to find ways to live a fulfilling life in the midst of powerful obstacles. His goal at Watson University is to create a web-based platform to connect low income individuals to quality and free legal aid to help them attain greater justice in the courts.
