Following the various problems brought about by the overgrowth of water hyacinth in Lake Victoria, David developed his venture, Save Lake Victoria. Save Lake Victoria converts hyacinth into products with economic value such as charcoal briquettes, carpets, handbags, and tables, which he can then sell and reinvest profits into the restoration of the lake.
